do you use nicknames? i always feel like a friendship gets a little bit deeper when you start calling each other nicknames. i've gone by mimi, meresy, meresypoo, merry, merlock, sister, and mere. i love each and every one of them. and each one represents a different person or friend group that created that nickname.
some of my college friends and i had a peculiar nickname for each other. ready for it? beans. one of the most ridiculous words. one where you can't help but laugh while saying it. go ahead, say it outloud. just try not to snicker.
somehow this nickname evolved and just stuck. so rather than calling one person beans, we all called each other beans. it added a little extra something in conversations when you would say something like "what's up beans!" or "hey beansie, let's go grab froyo" or "beans, i miss you!"
so i give you...the beans.
