state fair of texas

hello there. i've taken quite the hiatus from my blog because my laptop has been in repair. it was one of those no-good, terrible, horrible bad days when i spilled my extra large glass of sparkling water all over my computer. yuck! but the nice folks at apple fixed it for free!

anyways, i have lots of fun goodies to fill you in on. can you believe it's november? i sure can't!

this year i managed to make two trips to the state fair of texas. as much as i wanted to try some high-fat, crunchy fried food, i couldn't do it. i would always get grossed out by the people stuffing it into in their large bellies.

texas wedding

i've been away from the blog lately. the last month has been a whirlwind of busyness as i almost landed my dream job. but no, God seems to think i need to learn some more lessons on endurance and patience. so it's back to the job hunt for me. and a daily reminder of the promises in romans 5:3-5.

i stumbled across this texas ranch wedding on oncewed. the reception was held at one of my favorite restaurants, which is about 5 minutes away from our ranch on possum kingdom lake. it seemed like a dream wedding with twinkle lights, drinks in mason jars, and cowboy boots.

welcome to texas

it's the epitome of texas...the state fair.

texans of all walks of life come together to celebrate everything it means to be a member of this beloved state. and i love it. but in all my years of going, i have never seen it quite like this.
